How much does a brand video actually cost in Santa Barbara?

Every prospect asks this and almost every website dodges it. Here is the honest version, from a shop that works this market every week.

The short answer for a single well-produced brand video on the Central Coast, delivered polished and ready to publish, is roughly $2,500 on the low end to about $12,000 on the higher end. Above that, you are into commercial productions with talent, multiple shoot days, or scripted work that lives closer to $20,000 and up.

What actually moves the number

Shoot time is the big one. A half-day at a single location with no talent runs a lot less than a full day with three setups and staged interviews. Every hour of camera time turns into two to three hours of edit, so length pushes cost more than most clients expect.

The other big one is deliverables. One horizontal 60-second cut is a single edit. That same footage cut into a horizontal, a vertical for Reels, and three 15-second snippets for ads is four edits, and every version needs its own timing and captioning pass.

Where the ranges land

A tight $2,500 to $4,000 job is usually a half-day shoot, one location, no talent, and one clean 60-to-90-second video. A $6,000 to $9,000 job adds a shoot day, drone if needed, a second location, and a full set of platform cuts. Above that, you are paying for production value that shows on camera.

None of this is quoted from a table. Every project gets scoped against the outcome you actually need, then priced against that. If you want a real number for your project, start a conversation →
