Denys Nyituriki enters his home one afternoon, the walls of which are decorated by his paintings. He enters his studio, accompanied by two of his closest friends and choirmates. Nyituriki is the conductor of the 200-something person mega choir Chorale St. Paul Kicukiro in Kigali, Rwanda. Today, he is composing a new gospel song, and listens to a song on YouTube for inspiration. The walls of his studio are lined with couch cushions that serve as makeshift soundproofing insulation. One of his paintings featuring a man in an African rainforest hangs above his dual-monitors and to his right and left sit stuffed bears atop speakers, which are themselves atop stools. He begins to play the piano to create his new song, populating his score on the left monitor in the process. The right monitor holds his music software and his in-progress work. The dual monitors reflect in his eyes as he is intensely focused. He adjusts a wire to correct the audio, and finally, the recording process begins and the choir, now with two more members, harmonizes. The lyrics translate to, "St. Marc\'s pride of Rwanda teaches the Catholic Church\'s education and is spoken by groups of people in front of our favorite schools." Later, choir member Mico Augustave smiles while listening back to his vocals. Nyituriki conducts two female choirmates, Nikuze and Eugenie, as they record their vocals. Nyituriki smiles upon listening to them back. He stands up after over four hours of hard work, finally finished for the day.
